Dr. Ken Izuora is a Professor of Medicine at the Kirk Kerkorian School of Medicine at University of Nevada Las Vegas (UNLV). He serves as the Section Chief of the Division of Endocrinology and Program Director of the UNLV Endocrinology Fellowship program. He received his medical degree from the University of Nigeria and MBA in Healthcare Administration from the University of Colorado, Denver. He completed residency training at the University of Rochester, Unity Health Program and Endocrinology fellowship at Emory University, Atlanta. He practices academic endocrinology with research interest in inflammation and associated complications of diabetes. He is a co-author of the current AACE Diabetes Clinical Practice Guidelines and the AACE Diabetes Management Algorithm. He is a member of the AACE board of directors and a Fellow of the American Association of Clinical Endocrinology.
