Dr Sushma Reddy completed her fellowship in Endocrinology & Metabolism at Wayne State University.
She has 30 years of clinical experience in Michigan during which she developed insulin protocols and innovative approaches to managing patients with diabetes, including a successful boot camp approach to patients with uncontrolled type 2 diabetes, an insulin pump program, a CGM clinic, and a therapeutic CGM training program. She also successfully led Joint Commission Certification for Diabetes in the two hospitals in her area.
Dr Reddy is passionate about using CGM & technology to improve diabetes outcomes. This passion led her to join Steady Health and later Carbon Health where she helped develop a virtual team-based approach to diabetes care using CGM. The results of this care model were presented at ATTD and published in Clinical Diabetes.
Dr Reddy volunteers with the MAVEN Project supporting frontline providers at community health centers through mentoring and educational sessions helping them to incorporate CGM into their practice. She was honored with the MAVEN Project 2021 Educator Award for her dedication to advancing education and training for primary care providers.
Dr Reddy is currently a Doximity Digital Health Fellow. She is President of Diabetes Solutions International through which she provides consulting services to improve diabetes outcomes utilizing CGM, technology and remote patient monitoring.
