Reshmi Srinath, MD, is an associate professor in the Division of Endocrinology, Diabetes and Bone Disease and is the director of the Mount Sinai Weight and Metabolism Management Program.
She graduated from the University of Connecticut School of Medicine with a merit scholarship. She then completed her residency in Internal Medicine at Duke University Hospital in Durham, North Carolina and fellowship training in Endocrinology at Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, Maryland, before moving to New York to join Mount Sinai. As a faculty member her clinical expertise is in the prevention and treatment of obesity, diabetes and other metabolic complications. She leads the Obesity-Lipids section of the ESAP-ITE Steering Committee and serves on the Item writing Committee for ABOM. She is also trained in subcutaneous fat aspiration and actively involved in clinical obesity research.
