Sara E. Lubitz, MD FACE is an Associate Professor at Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School where she serves as Program Director for the Endocrinology Diabetes and Metabolism Fellowship and Medical Director of the pituitary center at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital. She earned her medical degree from Rutgers New Jersey Medical School (formerly UMDNJ) and completed Internal Medicine residency, chief residency, and Endocrinology fellowship at New York University. She has been active on AACE committees since 2015 when she joined the AACE/APDEM Joint Liaison Committee and transitioned into the Fellows Education Subcommittee in 2021 serving as Vice-Chair in 2021 and Chair of the committee since June of 2022. Additionally, she currently serves on the Education Oversight Committee and Growth Strategy Taskforce and the Editor-in-Chief Performance Review Committee and is a question writer for ASAP. In her current position Dr. Lubitz divides her time between educating trainees, clinical practice, clinical research focused on pituitary, thyroid and parathyroid disease, administration of the endocrinology fellowship program, and administration of the endocrinology clinical practice including the PROUD transgender center.
