Dr. Galindo is currently an Associate Professor of Medicine at the University of Miami, and Director of the Comprehensive Diabetes Center of UHealth and the Director of Diabetes Management for Jackson Health System, in Miami.
His clinical and research areas of interest included management of diabetes, obesity and CKD, using diabetes technology. His research program is supported by the NIH, NIDDK, foundations and industry. Dr. Galindo had over 120 publications peer-reviewed manuscripts, abstracts and book chapters. Dr. Galindo has also served as member and author of national and international diabetes guidelines, including the Consensus Statement on the Use of Diabetes Technology in the Hospital (sponsored by the Diabetes Technology Society in 2020), the AACE Diabetes Mellitus Comprehensive Care Plan in 2022 and AACE Algorithm for the Management of Type 2 Diabetes in 2023 (sponsored by the American Association of Clinical Endocrinologists). Dr. Galindo is currently a member of the taskforce to update the Diabetes Ketoacidosis guidelines (sponsored by the American Diabetes Association, 2023-2024), and also a member/writing author of the Standard of Care for Diabetes guidelines from ADA 2024.
