Atil Kargi, MD completed his medical degree at Dokuz Eylul University in Izmir, Turkey. He completed his internal medicine residency at the University of Pittsburgh in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and his Endocrinology Fellowship at the University of Washington in Seattle, Washington. In 2008, Dr Kargi joined the faculty of the University of Miami in Miami, Florida in the clinician educator track where he served in several roles including the Director of the Inpatient Endocrinology Consultation Service, Co-director of the Pituitary Disorders Program, Co-director of the Endocrine Testing Center, and Course Director for the Endocrine and Reproductive Systems course for the Miller School of Medicine and Endocrinology Fellowship program director. Dr Kargi has performed research including clinical trials in the diagnosis and treatment of adult growth hormone deficiency and Cushing disease. In 2022, Dr Kargi joined the faculty at the University of North Carolina Chapel Hill in Chapel Hill, North Carolina as a Professor and the Co-director of the Pituitary Center in the Department of Neurosurgery.
